Baseball Themed Baby Shower

Last Saturday, we showered Courtney, her husband, Christian, and their baby boy (who is still on the way) at their baseball themed baby shower! If you missed reading all about Courtney, click here to get the scoop before you keep reading.

We had the best time planning, coordinating, and celebrating at Courtney’s baby shower last weekend! When Courtney and Christian found out that their little one is a boy, they decided that a co-ed, baseball themed baby shower was the way to go, and we were so excited to start the planning. We spent the morning of setting up and made sure that every detail from the homemade centerpieces to the games and prizes were set up perfectly.

At Plan + Simple, we'll do just about anything to make your day perfect.

The centerpieces said: MVP, Lil' Slugger, All Star, Go Team, and Oh Boy

We had a cute helper while setting up for this event! Leah can't wait to be a big cousin.

Since we were doing an outdoor, coed shower, our prizes for games were BBQ sauces with grill utensils, BBQ baskets, and Movie Baskets! They were a hit!

Guests signed a Home Plate as a guest book alternative.

We had a station set up to guess baby’s stats (when he’ll be born, how big he’ll be) and to guess how many peanuts were in a jar!

We picked Red, Blue and White as the color scheme, careful to not make it about a specific baseball team, but we of course had to have a touch of decor supporting our home team (Let’s go, Bucs!).

Check out these super cute cookies that a family member made for favors -- they tasted as good as they looked!

To start out the shower, we opened up the concession stand (buffet) and served stadium style food! We had a super fun nacho bar, hot dogs, chicken tenders, and some sides to go with it! After the main courses were served and our guests ate, we opened up the ice cream sundae bar -- and yes, we had ALL the yummy toppings! While everyone ate, we had our own version of a Pierogi Race -- If you don’t know what the Great Pittsburgh Pierogi Race N’at is, do yourself a favor and go look up a video now!

We then moved on to opening gifts! To give Mom and Dad a little break while they opened, we stopped every 10 minutes for an “inning break” to have guests do trivia and play some Minute to Win It style games. It was so much fun! The rest of the shower was spent socializing and relaxing.

Trying to bounce pencils in to the cup.

First time packing up the Mustang with baby gear!

Congratulations, Courtney and Christian! We can’t wait to meet the little guy!
